CV 670: New Advanced Hardness Testers From Bowers
The CV division of the Bowers Metrology Group has recently announced the long awaited introduction of its advanced CV-670 range of Digital Rockwell Hardness Testers. Featuring a large new, robust cast frame that is able to accommodate bulky specimens, the flexible new CV-670 series is able to operate in all standard and superficial Rockwell hardness scales and provide simultaneous conversions to HV, HB and other HR scales.
Joining what Bowers claims is the largest range of cost-effective hardness testers currently available, the new range’s impressive features include a unique motorised load application system, a superior (Heidenhain) depth measuring transducer, automated measuring procedures and a high-speed preload facility.
The CV-670 range’s user-friendly, touch-screen operating panel and simple menu gives easy access to storage of 50 test programmes, alpha/numeric data entry, ‘online’ statistics, storage of 20,000 single hardness values, a go/no go mode, a useful built-in printer and a bi-directional USB2 connector, enabling communication with computers and SPC devices.
