Bowers: Ultrasonic for 'Sound' Measurement

Ideal for the accurate measurement of the wall thickness of materials such as, metals, glass and plastics, CV Instruments, the prolific material testing arm of Bowers Metrology has launched the cost effective TT-300 gauge series. The high quality, CV ultrasonic gauges consist of four robust, hand-held units with compact 5 MHZ transducer probes that are able to be conveniently applied to difficult to access parts.

An easy to read back-lit, digital display and a simple keypad gives access to all of the instruments’ measuring facilities, including mm/inch conversion, a min mode for minimum thickness measurement, automatic zero and calibration settings.  The cost effective TT-300 gauges have an impressive internal memory that is able to store up to 500 readings, whilst the gauges’ RS 232 output is able to download all measured results to computers, data-collection devices, printers, etc.
