Bowers Drive A ‘Hard-Bargain’

The rapidly expanding material testing arm of the Bowers Metrology Group, CV Instruments has announced the launch of an advanced new range of multi-functional bench hardness testers.

With 4 models available, the cost-effective Eseway® EW6000 series of Rockwell Hardness Testers are able to achieve consistent, accurate test results in the harshest of industrial conditions or within companies’ metallurgy departments, thanks to their advanced closed loop and load cell combined system. Providing users with a large working space to help accommodate bulky specimens, the tough new CV testers are capable of measuring in Standard, Superficial or combined Rockwell hardness values, with simultaneous conversion to HV, HB and other HR scales.

Further user-friendly features include – clear digital display, simple alpha numerical data entry, Go / No Go mode, automatic “online’’ statistics - including average of readings, storage of up to 20,000 single hardness values, convex and concave measuring modes, calibration date expired reminder and a memory capacity for 50 individual test programs with tester settings, enabling instant tester set-up.

The Eseway EW6000 series’ built-in high quality printers are able to deliver hard copy of all measured results and statistics, alternatively measured data can be exported to an external printer/PC via the units’ built-in bi-directional RS232C outputs.

The new CV Testers are delivered complete with a wide-range of accessories, including a choice of indentors, anvils and test-blocks. Demonstrations of the advanced new testers can be arranged through Bowers Metrology.
