Bowers' ‘Hard’ Working Tester

Bowers Metrology has announced the launch of the Nexus 7000 bench hardness tester. Featuring a user-friendly operator panel displaying hardness values for all common hardness test procedures, the cost effective Nexus 7000 employs advanced load cell, closed-loop technology with a force feed-back system that avoids overshoot and guarantees very accurate rapid test procedures. Displaying hardness values for all common hardness test procedures, the Nexus 7000 combines a fully-automatic controlled test cycle with a very wide load range from 1 - 250 kgf. The tester’s easy to operate user panel gives access to 99 different test programs in 3 different hardness scales (HR, HB, HV), whilst the programmable user panel allows easy access to user-defined test programs, including test force, application time, conversion, and shape correction according to ISO standards.

Complying with all applicable EN/ISO and ASTM standards, the innovative Nexus 7000 provides the user with excellent Gauge Repeatability & Reproducibility, precise test force and highly accurate hardness measurement. Standard accessories comprise, a 140x objective, a robust testing table and a calibration certificate. Optional accessories include, objectives for 20x, 44x, 70x total magnification, a range of indenters & test-blocks, testing tables and XY-stages, precision vices, V-blocks and clamps. If required, the Nexus 7000 range is able to download hardness values direct to printers and/or computers via USB-2, whilst specialised software solutions are available for advanced applications.
