Bowers Optimum Tool Presetting Solution

U.K. agents for the famous range of Trimos Tool Presetters, Bowers Metrology has launched the Optima Plus version of its popular Optima range of Tool Presetters. Sharing the same, robust mechanical characteristics as the existing high quality Optima series, the new offering from the renowned Swiss manufacturer is available in two capacities, 500 mm diameter x 500 mm height, and 500 mm diameter x 700 mm height.

Standard Optima Plus features include, easy to use lockable handles for the rapid displacement of both axis, a new generation USB camera, tool spindles with patented needle bearing or vacuum clamping, a new LED surface illumination light, a Dymo LabelWriter 400 unit, a precise reference calibration master and an integrated air maintenance unit.

The modular nature of the new Optima Plus range ensures that each customer is supplied with a high-quality Tool Presetter exactly matching their specific needs. The many available Optima Plus options include a choice of spindle pots and adaptors including ISO, VDI, HSK, a vacuum-clamping system and a choice of PCs and printers. Three-format post processor software is offered, along with extended database and point measure software modules, whilst an additional post processor is available upon request.

With the potential to substantially increase company production, slash scrap levels and reduce the purchase of consumable tooling, Bowers claims that its cost effective Optima Presetters offer the optimum answer to UK industry’s off-line tool presetting requirements.  Trimos Sales Engineers are currently touring the country, demonstrating the potential merits of the new Optima Plus range to customers.
