Bowers Interfacing Quality
Recognising the fact that most companies use a wide assortment of digital measuring instruments from a variety of manufacturers, Bowers Metrology has introduced a cost-effective solution to the problem of sending measured results from a range of electronic measuring instruments, using different signals to a PC.
The flexible Sylmux Multiplexer range is able to accommodate 2,4,8 digimatic output gauges, in addition to instruments using the increasingly popular Opto-RS 232 signal. The robust Sylvac interface units are able to automatically detect a particular instrument, acknowledge data requests from the user’s computer and gather data from a relevant measuring instrument. Bowers claims that the universal nature of its clever new Sylvac interface units renders them suitable for countless applications across a large variety of industries.
