Affordable Bowers Tester For ‘Hard’ Times
CV Instruments, the prolific material testing arm of Bowers Metrology has launched the entry level TH-1100 portable hardness tester. Ideal for use within the workshop or in the field, the affordable new instrument is equipped with rechargeable batteries that are able to deliver an impressive 16 hours of continuous operation. Functioning according to the Leeb principle, the tough new unit provides the user with accurate and repeatable results on an extremely wide range of metallic products. The flexible new TH-1100 is able to display hardness values in all common scales, including HLD, HB, HRC, HRA, HRB, HV and HS.
With a useful ability to operate at any angle, even upside down, all of the TH-1100’s test results appear on a large, high visibility LCD display, and are able be stored on the unit’s impressive memory that is capable of holding up to 99 data group files. Standard delivery includes the main unit with an integrated HLD impact test-block, battery charger, cleaning brush, certificate, operating manual and a carrying case.
