Bowers New ‘Twin-Set’

Now available in the UK from Bowers Metrology, the celebrated Swiss manufacturer, Trimos has recently launched its range of TWINNER horizontal digital measuring instruments. Designed specifically for the accurate measurement of both symmetrical shaped cylindrical parts and components such as camshafts, the ingenious TWINNER replaces a large number of conventional measuring instruments. Designed specifically for shop-floor use, the new multi-functional, flexible Trimos instrument employs a quick-change component system and is capable of measuring the vast majority of turned parts.

Removing errors that can occur through operator influence, excellent length and diameter accuracy and repeatability is assured by TWINNER’s constant measuring force, and the use of Trimos patented electronics. The TWINNERS simple keyboard and clear digital display give easy access to X and Y axis readings. Alternatively the new Trimos unit can be linked to a PC running TWINNER software.
