Bowers Launches New Series of Hand-Operated Webster-type Hardness Testers
Bowers Metrology has added a new, high-quality range to the company’s comprehensive collection of material testing instruments with the launch of the WH Series of hand-operated Webster-type Hardness Testers.
Featuring a fast and accurate measuring action, the cost effective new portable instruments are ideal for the hardness testing of thin, soft materials under shopfloor conditions. With several models available, in a choice of measuring capacities, Bowers’ robust new hardness testers are suitable for use across a wide range of materials, including aluminium alloys, brass, copper and soft steel.
Each WH series tester is packed in a strong industrial box that includes all standard accessories including a set of tools, a hardness standard and a spare indentor. Bowers’ new hardness testers give precise readings independent of the operator’s skill, whilst the units’ easy-to-read dial indicators permit use of the testers as "go" and "no-go" gauges. Adding to their flexibility, all of the instruments within the new Bowers range are able to convert their findings into the commonly used Vickers, Rockwell and Brinell hardness values.
